Compensation and Benefits
Salary: $5720.00/month
- This is a full-time, exempt position.
- Positions at Fresno State are to perform their work onsite. Some positions, depending upon University needs and operations, may be eligible for remote work, one day per week, pursuant to Fresno State's remote work guidelines and the CSU policy.

Job Summary
The Director of Compliance reports to the Senior Associate Athletics Director of Compliance and helps to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Compliance Services Office.
- Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the Compliance Services Office
- Develop and implement a comprehensive rules education program
- Supervise interns and Graduate Assistant’s
- Oversee facets of NCAA and Mountain West Conference rules
- Provide NCAA Rules Interpretations
- Process NCAA violations, NCAA waivers, and Student-Athlete Reinstatements
- Process Medical Hardships
- Assist in the oversight of the certification process
- Assist in the oversight in the areas of Personnel, Amateurism, Recruiting, Eligibility, Financial Aid, Awards & Benefits, Playing & Practice Seasons, & Membership
- Perform day-to-day responsibilities monitoring, NCAA Bylaw 11 (Personnel), NCAA Bylaw 12 (Amateurism), Bylaw 14 (Academic Eligibility), & other Bylaws as assigned.
- Serve as primary compliance contact for Mountain West Conference
- Assist in the management of the Compliance Services office budget
- Other duties as assigned by the Senior Associate Athletics Director of Compliance
Key Qualifications
- Working knowledge of NCAA Bylaws
- Experience drafting NCAA violations and waivers
- Working knowledge of CAi, LSDBi, RSRO, and Eligibility Center
- Experience conducting rules education presentations
- Ability to:
- Analyze and research NCAA bylaws
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Exercise professional independent judgment and discretion
- Work cooperatively with coaches, staff, faculty, students and members of the community
- Maintain strict confidentiality and appropriately manage sensitive information

Education and Experience
- Bullet point list of Education and Experience requirements, as noted in CSU classification standards
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year institution.
- A minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in a NCAA Compliance office, starting at the Graduate Assistant level
- Experience working at Division I FBS level
- Previous experience using NCAA Compliance Assistant (CAi)

Supplemental Information
Following a conditional offer of employment, a background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate may start work with California State University, Fresno. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may result in the withdrawal of the offer of employment. The person holding this position is considered a "mandated reporter" under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.
This position may be a "designated position" under the California State University's Conflict of Interest Code. This will require the filing of a Statement of Economic Interest on an annual basis and the completion of training within six (6) months of assuming office and every two (2) years thereafter.
