Under the guidance of the Director of Logistical Services, you'll manage a sophisticated computerized property control system for centralized or dispersed property. You'll also prepare and submit statistical and analytical data to support campus-wide projections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Oversee the operation of a complex computerized property control system, ensuring accurate and timely inventory records and reports.
- Property Tracking: Record and mark the receipt of new property, release it to authorized units, and inform employees of their responsibilities and liabilities.
- Operational Efficiency: Supervise periodic and annual inventories and inspections, resolving discrepancies and ensuring the proper movement and care of property.
- Surplus Property Management: Handle campus-wide surplus property, assess the condition, and recommend the appropriate disposition of property requiring repair, salvage, or disposal.
- Data Analysis: Prepare and submit statistical and analytical data for campus-wide projections, contributing to effective decision-making.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors and colleagues to resolve issues and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Vehicle & Equipment Registration: Maintain records and register all motor vehicles, boats, trailers, and equipment requiring licenses.

Department Summary
Under the general direction and supervision of the Assistant Director, Logistical Services, Material Management (MM) is responsible for the receipt, tagging and inventory control of approximately 22,000 items of university equipment valued at approximately $100,000,000. MM must provide documentation and verification of all material to assure it is in accordance with purchase orders. The department is responsible for ensuring physical inventories of all property are conducted in accordance with State regulations. MM also coordinates all office relocations and acts as the liaison between the University and the moving services contractors. MM is responsible for surplusing all equipment/goods as needed by the campus. Goods/computers will be reused, repurposed, or donated.

Compensation: Salary is based on your experience, education, and qualifications, within the department’s budget and equity guidelines.
- CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,864 - $6,854/month; hiring salary not expected to exceed $4,835/month.
